Update: 2022-09-16
Description
It's a busy weekend in the Black College Football world, and of course The Crossover's got you covered with previews for this weekend's game as well as a quick recap of a big Thursday night battle in the SIAC.
Chris begins the show with a very special announcement that you all might enjoy, then discusses the MEAC schedule which is highlighted by Howard battling Morehouse in the first ever HBCU/NY Football Classic at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. Can Howard get a win? Will Norfolk State beat Hampton in the Battle of the Bay? Just how bad will DSU take out their frustrations on Virginia-Lynchburg?
Down in the SWAC, the game of the week is Jackson State vs. Grambling State, Deion Sanders vs. Hue Jackson in what could be a SWAC title game preview. Chris has that action as well as Southern vs. Texas Southern at AT&T stadium.
The SIAC should be on notice after Benedict handled handled Savannah State Thursday night. Chris talks about that game and what it could mean for the Tigers moving forward.
Lastly, Virginia Union had the biggest upset in Division II last week and somehow did not make the national rankings. Chris discusses the Panthers' big win and the rest of the CIAA schedule, which is all inter-conference this week.
